Cannabis has now been destigmatised

PJ Wood from Wilro Park writes:

The latest ruling that decriminalises cannabis is welcomed by those who use it as a medicinal aid for severe pain, as well as a multitude of other health issues, including depression.

The wrong perception that cannabis is a gateway drug should be treated with contempt. Alcohol is a far more pernicious gateway, as it causes a complete lack of judgement in an individual. The majority of cannabis users do not use alcohol or other hardcore drugs.

The fact that cannabis has now been destigmatised is a boon to those who suffer from severe cancer-related pain, as well as promoting a feeling of peace and well-being without the terrible side effects and damage of manufactured substances.

The stigma of cannabis has been promoted for decades by alcohol and pharmaceutical companies, as they know their income will be adversely affected by legal cannabis products.
