Twelve gymnasts were awarded their senior Central Gauteng colours for the double mini trampoline, a discipline in which they competed for the first time.

They are:

• Robyn Raadt

• Christo van der Walt

• Diané Kriek

• Elandri Dippenaar

• Ivan Dippenaar

• JC Roux

• JP Roux

• Joshua Groenewald

• Luan van den Berg

• Mark George Taylor

• Phoenix Raadt

• Ulrich du Plessis

JC, Luan, JP, Christo, Diané, Ivan and Mark George also competed on the Euro trampoline, for which they were awarded senior Central Gauteng colours. They qualified to compete at the upcoming South African Games in Pretoria.

Luitha Roux, the club’s head coach, is very proud of her students. “For us to be able to compete on the Euro trampoline at international level, we needed to buy one. This trampoline is extremely expensive (R170 000). We decided to organise a fundraising event, which enabled us to import an entry-level trampoline (R40 000) for the gymnasts. They have only been practising on it for a month, and these are the results we achieved,” she explained.
