The Legion Crew reigns supreme at dance championships
They obtained two first places in two different competitions
Members of the Legion Dance Crew once again showed they know how to dance.
The dancers, who train at the Mario Ghomes Hip Hop Dance Academy, competed at the Global Dance Supreme Championships at the Walter Sisulu Hall in Randburg, and was crowned the best crew on the day.
They also participated in the 2018 Roodepoort Dance Festival at the Roodepoort Theatre, and once again, walked away with the top honours.
The 13-year-old Juandré Gonsalves, who is a member of the Legion Dance Crew and a learner at Laerskool Generaal Delarey, spoke on behalf of the crew when he thanked their coaches and said, “Without their help and support, we would never have had the opportunity to achieve our goal. We worked very hard to come this far. A dream does not become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.”
