The 1st Discovery Scouts are appealing to the community to support their blood drive.
The blood drive will be taking place on 7 September from 5pm to 8pm at the 1st Discovery Scout Hall, 15 Bird Street, Discovery. All they ask is a few minutes of the community’s time to donate blood.
Curry and rice, lentil vegetable curry and chicken curry will be on sale during the event. You can choose to either have a very mild or a child-friendly curry.
To pre-order the curry, contact Cindy on 083 362 4793.
Those who will be supporting this initiative are reminded to eat well before they donate.
Your blood donation can save up to three lives, and the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is reminding the community that it is not just about donating blood, but a life that is waiting to be lived.
