Team Rage wins big at Great North

The fighters bagged 18 medals

 

The Team Rage Kickboxing Club had a very successful outing to the second Great North Tournament, which took place in Brakpan recently.

The tournament took place at the Brakpan Indoor Sports Centre, and fighters had the opportunity to participate in various categories, including semi-contact, light contact, kick light, ring contact fighting and full contact.

They managed to bag a total of 18 medals – nine gold, seven silver and two bronze.

During the tournament, Brandon-Lee Friedlander won one gold and two silver medals, Charnè Botha won one gold and one bronze medal, Dyllan Opperman won two gold medals, Bianca Botha won two gold and one silver medal, Clarise Luijk won a silver medal, Cole Langa won a gold and a silver medal, Mark won a silver and a bronze medal, Jesse bagged a gold medal and Jackie Brits took home a gold and a silver medal.

These achievements left coach Darin Opperman beaming with pride, and he said, “Well done to all our fighters on their excellent results! We are extremely proud of all of you.”
