Treehouse kindergarten spends 67 minutes with the elderly
They entertained with a special concert and message for each resident
The learners at Treehouse Kindergarten spent their 67 minutes on Mandela Day at the Westhaven Retirement Village, where they entertained the residents with song and dance.
Each learner did a drawing and wrote a message for each resident, and they also handed out snacks and treats, which the residents could enjoy with their tea.

“Last year on Mandela Day we helped at the Florida Baby Home, and the learners enjoyed it very much. We must remember that the spirit of community begins with our children,” said Sharn-Anne Mitchell from Treehouse Kindergarten.
She also thanked Apcan for ensuring their safety during the walk to the retirement home, as well as the families who sent along snacks for the residents.
