A day like no other at Floroma.
The spirit of giving back to the community
On 18 July, the team from Assa Abloy Entrance Systems left the elders of Floroma Old Age Home with smiles on their faces as they were happy to have visitors.
To top it all, one of the elderly residents of the home shares her birthday with Mandela and was turning 99 years old. The team from Assa Abloy gave her a birthday cake and gladly sang to her. The birthday girl was very excited and her face lit up with joy.

“If there was one thing that we learned from Nelson Mandela, it has to be the spirit of giving back to the community, and this is why we as Assa Abloy Entrance Systems came to the Floroma Old Age Home to give them a helping hand,” said Assa Abloy Entrance Systems Country Manager, Jonathan Forster.
“The late Nelson Mandela has left a great legacy in South Africa which inspires us to do more, to contribute to society, to give back. We were proud to be part of Mandela Day by giving in a small way to Floroma. As a company we believe it is important to extend this beyond one day in the year and challenge ourselves to participate in further initiatives throughout the year,” he added.
