A school filled with the Madiba spirit
I am extremely proud of my learners, they were outstanding.
Discovery Primary School had a joyous Mandela Day celebration on 18 July. The school was filled with the Madiba spirit.
The learners, with the help of the teachers, gave a concert in commemoration of Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday.

One of the items was a gumboot dance by which they illustrated the history of Madiba. They played songs about Madiba and had other dance routines. The learners also shared how Madiba has personally inspired them.

“I am extremely proud of my learners, they were outstanding. I brag about them because our school is the best in the west,” said principal Raymond Peters.
