Making a difference for the elders

SLTA made the day very special for the elderly

Siyazifukula Leaner Transport Association (SLTA) celebrated the 67 minutes for Mandela Day by making a difference at the Floroma Old Age Home in Roodepoort.

SLTA made the day very special for the elderly. They gave them gifts and entertained them by singing for them. The elders even got up to dance to the songs.

SLTA’s chairperson, Bheki Ziqubu said, “We have to go the extra mile to help other people; it is the right thing to do and it is what Nelson Mandela stood for.

“Mandela would have been 100 years old today. We are celebrating him today for the legacy he left the nation. To honour him as association, it will be our culture to give back to the community in need,” he added.
