Chatroom attendance grows

Corrie, the guest speaker, who deals with cancer patients on a one-on-one basis, outlined the sickness of cancer and educated the attendees about how one should take care of the illness.

The West Rand Chatroom continues to grow by leaps and bounds, thanks to the motivational guest speakers tasked with encouraging cancer patients.

The forum was started to help people who had no support and those who felt isolated because nobody understood what they were going through.

On 14 July, during the monthly meeting, Sister Corrie Botes took to the podium to speak about the subject to a fair number of attendees at Westview Clinic.

Corrie, who deals with cancer patients on a one-on-one basis, outlined cancer as a disease and educated the attendees about coping with it.

The next meeting will be held on 18 August.
