Dynamite comes in small packages
Seventeen gymnasts from the Jozi Rhythmic Gymnastics Club took part in the prestigious SAGF Novice North Zone Festival
Diante Diedericks put Jozi Rhythmic Gymnastics Club on the map as she recently won her Level 3 U/10 section at the South African Gymnastics Federation (SAGF) Novice North Zone Festival.
The club is based at the NG Church in Kloofendal and its gymnasts qualified at both the district and provincial trials. Seventeen gymnasts from the Club took part in the prestigious Festival. The Festival was held during the weekend of 22 and 23 June. Other gymnasts representing six other provinces also took part in the Festival.
Seven of the 17 gymnasts were awarded gold medals and six were awarded silver medals, based on their overall rank in their respective age groups.
Emykho Coetzee, a Level 1 U/7 gymnast, placed second overall in her section, which had 41 participants. Diante Diedericks finished as the Level 3 U/10 overall winner out of a field of 32 gymnasts.
