Tumi and Ndumiso will be going big at Silverstar

Enjoy some relationship counselling – with loads of punchlines

Tumi Morake and Ndumiso Lindi will be going big at Silverstar when they entertain audiences on their Married – but not to each other tour.

The show is a hilarious take on the roles and regulations of marriage and the pothole-laced roads the sexes have to navigate.

It starts at 8pm on 6 July, and tickets are available through Computicket. The show does carry a PG16 age restriction.

Audiences in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Botswana and Mafikeng have already seen the show. New tour dates include Port Elizabeth, Krugersdorp, Durban, Secunda and Nelspruit.

The show concept started when Tumi and Ndumiso were travelling together on a comedy adventure and they were asked by a customs official, “Are you married?” Ndumiso replied with a yes, and when he realised what he was saying, he quickly added, “But not to each other”. And so began the comical journey for this wife and husband of other people.

Tumi said that audiences can expect a lot of laughter. “It’s two friends doing something that they love together – it’s like relationship counselling but with endless punchlines,” she explained.

“This is a comedy show that deals with relationship issues, so everyone can relate to it. It is unique because of its content. The structure also involves audience participation,” Ndumiso added.

Tumi concluded, “It’s not just about marriage. It’s about the world that these marriages have to survive in.”
