A Witpoortjie resident is urgently trying to locate the owners of a lost dog.
Annette Yzel said, “On Sunday, 27 May, I noticed a dog on the pavement outside my gate. I went outside and let him in, as I was scared that he might be run over. I live on Progess Avenue.”
She added that the dog looked like it could be a boerboel. “He is still young, very friendly and playful. You can see that he is someone’s pet, as he is used to people and loves being inside. He is light brown with a white patch on his chest, and was not wearing a collar,” Annette said.
Annette is appealing for the owners to come forward, as she cannot keep the dog in her yard indefinitely. She said, “I’ve had to keep my own dogs in the back yard, for fear of them fighting. I have already contacted the SPCA, but would prefer to locate the owners before the dog is taken to them.”
If this is your dog, or, if you know the owners, please contact Annette on 073 202 8419.
