Woman locks herself in room during robbery
Suspect managed to climb through burglar bars.
At about 11am this morning (19 April) an armed robbery occurred on Vieira Road in Amorosa.
According to Gibbs Alberts, owner of Absolut Security, they received a call from a woman saying she had locked herself in a room because she believed there was a person in her house in the Serengeti Complex. The officers responded but when they arrived the intruder had already fled.

It is believed that he managed to climb through the burglar bars, armed himself with a kitchen knife and then stole some jewellery. He also drove off in the woman’s vehicle – a black Peugeot with registration VPM884GP.
The woman was not harmed.
