West Randers show off skills on Come Dine With Me (SA)
Fun and delicious food on show
The fourth season of the South African edition of Come Dine with Me will be boasting three contestants from the Roodepoort area.
The contestants, Lucia Jack, Kevin Marais, Nadine Naidoo and Martin Mhlongo (from Dainfern in Fourways), will be cooking up a storm in Episode 9, in an attempt to win over their dinner guests and walk away with the R10 000 cash prize
Lucia Jack is a 33-year-old housewife and mother of two, who loves everything fabulous and sparkly. “I will score my hosting skills a nine out of 10, as I am someone who is always looking for an excuse to host a party. The only reason I did not score myself a 10, is because I sometimes get so taken up with the conversation that I forget about the food,” she said with a laugh.

She said that she can promise her guests a lovely time at her dinner party, and that they would feel extra special. “My dinner parties are simple, not uptight; relaxed but sophisticated. I would love to be remembered as the most outstanding host of my episode and season,” she said.
The 45-year-old Kevin Marais hails from Constantia Kloof and believes that he has what it takes to be the host with the most, even though he does tend to talk too much sometimes. “I believe my dinner party hosting skills are a solid eight, as I do not limit myself, and will try anything, no matter how complex. I am very innovative,” he said.
He added that he can be the ultimate host, as he has the personality and the looks, and can even cook on some days. Kevin would want to be remembered as a legend or the party guy after his appearance on the show.
35-year-old Nadine Naidoo is a home executive from Allen’s Nek, and describes herself as friendly, easy-going and someone who loves life, dancing and going to they gym.
She describes her cooking style as very easy-going, and admits to not always following the recipe, and said, “I am a ‘mi casa, su casa’ kind of woman, and have the ability to make people comfortable, and that makes me a good dinner party host – I think,” she said.
Nadine wants to be remembered as the free spirit who always had a smile on her face and believes that her dinner party would be be perfect if everybody showed up, nobody threw up, the lights stayed on and she did not drop anything on the floor!
Come Dine With Me SA airs every Thursday night at 8pm on DSTV channel 174 (BBC Brit).
