Bridge to be built on South Road
We are still awaiting approval of the water use licence.
Johannesburg Road Agency (JRA) has received approval from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for the proposed construction of a Bridge Road Culvert on South Road in Lindhaven, Roodepoort.
According to Ward 71 councillor, René Benjamin, the Johannesburg Road Agency has received Environmental Authorisation for the proposed construction of a Bridge Road Culvert on South Road in Roodepoort. The culvert bridge will be built under South Road as a tunnel that will carry the stream from the river under South Road.

“The Environmental Authorisation for this project was granted on 26 March by the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and was received by Envirolution Consulting on the same day.
We are still awaiting approval of the water use licence,” she said.
Should you wish to appeal any aspect of the decision, you must submit your appeal including supporting documentation by no later than Friday, 20th April to the appeal administrator.
