I totally agree with Gerrit Buys. Like many of us who have been living in the area for many years the neighborhood is rapidly deteriorating.
The condition of the pavements and general upkeep is demoralising. We pay rates and taxes, and our high lights and water bills, compensating for those areas that don’t pay at all. When you speak to DA representatives, they always have so many excuses.
Speedsters are get away with breaking the law every single day. Our area is littered, with debris lying on the main road. Drug dealers operate with no problem.
When the council members or Mayor Mashaba drive around the area, they see the current state of things. Do they really care?
They only realise our importance when the next elections are at hand.
Mayor Mashaba and all the council members in charge of our area – please, we urge you, we are tax- and ratepayers and we have a right to a better, beautiful neighborhood.
