The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) has yet to report back on three incidents at two Roodepoort schools this past month.

The GDE said they will investigate the circumstances surrounding a Valentine’s dance at Hoërskool Roodepoort that went pear-shaped and allegedly turned into a mini-riot. Then there is the incident at West Ridge Secondary School where a teacher allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a learner.

The third incident happened this past Monday (26 February) when a schoolboy from one school stabbed another boy from another school.
The Record made various attempts to get comment and updates on the status of the investigation but has received no response yet.
