City of Johannesburg Pikitup would like to inform residents of a waste collection delay on 27 February.
They advised that the delay was caused by a South African Municipal Workers Union meeting. Residents whose refuse collection is scheduled for 27 February are asked to put out their waste for collection on 28 February.
Pikitup also indicated that the service interruption will have a ripple effect and might also affect collection rounds on 28 February, 1 March or 2 March. Pikitup hopes to restore all collections by 3 March.
