Truck ends up against tree after colliding with bakkie

Uncertain which driver was at fault.

This morning (27 February) at about 8.45am an accident involving a small truck and a bakkie occurred close to the corner of Ham Street and Generaal Pienaar Avenue in Witpoortjie.

It is uncertain who was at fault but the driver of the bakkie travelling on Ham Street from the direction of Corlett Avenue wished to turn into the Spar parking area when he collided with the truck.

The truck with its four passengers that was travelling on Generaal Pienaar Avenue towards Albertina Sisulu Road subsequently crashed into a tree in front of the Caxton West Rand office. Some of the passengers on the truck sustained mild injuries.

The accident will be investigated by the Metro Police.
