School disputes facts concerning Valentine’s dance chaos
School currently drawing up a report about the incident.
The high school where learners caused havoc after a Valentine’s dance, disputed the facts regarding the incident but could not give their version due to the Gauteng Department of Education’s (GDE) policy with regard to speaking to the media.
When the Record contacted the school for comment it was told that it got its facts wrong, despite parents all giving a more or less similar version and video material depicting the incident doing the rounds. The school said it is busy drawing up a report about the incident and that they were consulting their lawyers.

Meanwhile the GDE responded promptly to the Record’s request for comment, saying it will investigate the matter.
It is alleged that a group of learners pelted vehicles, slashed tyres and blocked the road after the dance had been cancelled due to the DJ allegedly being caught drinking.
