Residents should attend public meetings
MMC urges residents to attend Rates Policy meetings
Councillor Funzela Ngobeni, the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Finance, has encouraged public to attended the Rates Policy meetings, stating that public views are taken into consideration when drafting the final rates policy.
The MMC said, “Public participation is critical in the formulation of policies and ratepayers are encouraged to take an active part in the public meetings of the policy review. The Rates Policy review is driven by comments and inputs from owners, and the City takes these submissions into account when drafting the final policy.”
The dates of the next meetings on the West Rand are as follows:
Region C
– Roodepoort City Hall: 28 February, from 6pm to 8pm.
– Braamfischerville Multi-Purpose Community Centre, Loerieblaar Avenue: 24 February, from 2pm to 4pm.
