Roodepoort SPCA inspector rescues trapped dog

Community member alerted him to crying dog

A senior inspector from the Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA was performing his ordinary daily tasks when he had the opportunity to change a dog’s life.

According to Mandy Cattanach, the manager at the SPCA, Senior Inspector Eric Taljaard was stopped by a concerned community member who gave him some disturbing information.

“The community member told Taljaard that a dog had been crying non-stop since the previous day. Upon further investigation, he found a medium-sized dog stuck in a very small space between two walls,” she said.

Taljaard proceeded to lift the dog up, in an attempt to get it out of the small space. The dog was successfully taken out from between the two walls, and released.
