In photos: 2017 matric results
The overall feeling was happiness and satisfaction and the Class of 2017 was very excited to start their new journey.
On the morning of 5 January there were squeals of delight – and some sighs of relief – as last year’s matric learners across Gauteng received their results.
According to the Gauteng Department of Education’s website, the Johannesburg West Region achieved an overall pass rate of 88,6 per cent, with the Roodepoort schools performing as follow:
• West Ridge High School – 78,1 per cent
• Tulip Secondary School – 100 per cent
• Princess High School – 79,4 per cent
• Lantern School – 92,7 per cent
• Hoërskool Roodepoort – 97,9 per cent
• Hoërskool Florida – 100 per cent
• Hoërskool Die Burger – 89,1 per cent
• Hoërskool Die Adelaar – 98,3 per cent
• Florida Park High School – 94,9 per cent
