Have you seen the illegal [electricity] connections in Hoogenhout Street, Groblers Park?
We live in a semi-retirement village with 90 per cent elderly people who can not get in or out of the bath. They rely on taking a shower. The illegal connections cause electrical shocks in the showers.
[We have] reported the dangerous situation to City Power about six times and also sent an email to Rene Benjamin. [We have] no hope and are getting “gatvol” in such a way that we want to cut the wires ourselves!We have also been attacked with stones and threatened that petrol bombs will be thrown into the complex.
