#PelserTrial: Accused finally takes the stand
Hugs and tears outside court when family and supporters heard the news.
There was much jubilation outside the court when the Record determined that the case will be closed today.
Trial Day 7: #PelserTrial: More damning detail surfaces
During a short break, the State Prosecutor, Paseka Temeki, told the Record that they have decided to drop the last-minute witness and that Marthinus Pelser will take the stand today.
“There is no point in calling the witness (a radiologist) as she will have nothing to say that hasn’t been said yet. We are closing the case today,” said Temeki.
Family, friends and supporters could be seen crying and hugging each other when they received the news.

It is uncertain whether judgement will be handed down today.
