SA’s favourite cousin bringing the laughs to Silverstar

Barry Hilton will be at Silverstar on 15 December

South Africa’s favourite cousin – Barry Hilton – will be performing at Silverstar to ensure you end your year on a hilarious note.

Barry is one of South Africa’s favourite comedians, and with his well-timed humour, expressions and impressions, he will have you rolling in the aisles – and that’s before he even said something!

The South African comedy giant’s universal appeal has earned him a huge fan base that spans continents. He has performed across the world, including wowing the audience at the Sydney Opera House last year, and this year he travelled to Canada, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Next year he will return to the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival, where he will be one of the headline acts.

Barry, whose sets are never vulgar, malicious or mean-spirited, works the room with magnetic charm and ease. His deft timing and tap-dancing mind ensure that every crowd leaves his shows thrilled – regardless of their own background.

His sets are always side-splittingly funny and he is known to many as a gentleman comic and master craftsman with flawless timing, an unpredictable hairline and a gaze that does not miss a thing!

This is what people are saying about Barry:

• “Explosive, universal and very funny,” Jami Gong of the TakeOut Comedy Club Hong Kong.

• “Barry seamlessly transcends cultural boundaries and appeals to an international audience,” Umar Rana, founder, Comedy Masala Singapore.

• “A master comedian, Barry Hilton owns the stage,” Grant Ferris of the Laughter Lounge in Dublin.

The show will take place on 15 December at 7pm and tickets cost R150 per person. Tickets can be booked by visiting www.silverstar.co.za.
