At about 5.15pm yesterday (17 October) an accident occurred in Quellerie Street in Witpoortjie.
It is alleged that the driver of a bakkie towing a trailer decided to make a right turn just as a G4S cash in transit (CIT) van was about to overtake him. Due to the massive weight of the van (approximately five tons) the driver could not brake in time and hit the nose of the bakkie. Fortunately no one was injured.
