Errol Mann and the South African team have much to celebrate after securing a group third place finish at the 2017 World Field Target Championships in the United Kingdom. Lauren Parsons further made her country proud for earning an individual silver medal in the ladies category.

The three-day event, held at the Glanusk Estate in Wales, saw 300 competitors enter in the hopes of walking away with the sought-after trophy and the coveted title of World Champion.

Mann said he is proud of the overall success the team managed to achieve. “Overall the team finished well and we got the bronze medal. Lauren did extremely well and walked away with silver. We are very proud of our achievements.”

Unfortunately, Mann narrowly missed out on earning a Master’s Badge after securing an 84,89 per cent top-score finish. However, Mann is glad to be on home soil and looks forward to the next competition.

“We returned home a week ago so we are just pleased to be back in South Africa. We can’t wait to face the challenges ahead,” he said.
