13 injured when truck and taxi collide
One passenger seriously injured.
A woman sustained serious injuries and 12 other people sustained minor injuries after a taxi and a truck collided on Main Reef and Dobsonville Roads in Roodepoort on Thursday afternoon (29 September).
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 3.30pm, they found some of the patients seated on the pavement, some walking around on scene and one patient still seated inside the taxi.

Upon further assessment, the woman who was still seated in the taxi was found to have sustained serious injuries to her leg. She was airlifted to Lenmed Randfontein by the ER24 Oneplan medical helicopter for further medical care.
The other patients were found to have sustained minor injuries. They were transported by ER24 and other medical services on scene to nearby hospitals for further medical care.
