Residents to prepare for 22 hours without water

Will you be affected?

Residents should prepare for a 22-hour water outage on Monday, 2 October from 7pm to Tuesday, 3 October until 5pm.

Johannesburg Water (JW) will be working on a 400mm mainline that is connected to a 750mm supply line, and because the system needs to be drained, the actual completion time might be affected.

According to JW, certain tasks need to be completed before the shutdown can take place. Should it not be completed in time, the shutdown will be postponed and a new notice will be issued to residents.
