A woman and a baby were injured when the vehicle they were travelling in rolled on the N1/ N17 in Maraisburg during the afternoon of Saturday, 16 September.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 4.36pm, the baby had already been removed from the vehicle. She sustained minor injuries.The woman was however still trapped and the Jaws of Life had to be used to extricate her from the vehicle. Paramedics found her to be in a serious condition.

The woman was airlifted to hospital by the ER24 Oneplan helicopter for further medical care. ER24 also transported the baby to hospital.
The exact circumstances of the incident are not yet known.
