He will live on in our hearts forever

Viviette du Plessis and family from Roodepoort write:

The tragic event of 2 September that unfolded at the Wilropark Shopping Centre was not the Lord’s work. The devil came to steal and unfortunately, because we are all human and sinners, the Lord allowed it. The devil has not won this battle as I believe in my heart that our battle is not between black and white or any race or nationality, but between good and evil.

The Lord turns around every ugly situation and good will come of it.

Unfortunately, the brave Apcan guard Sabelo Kunyane had to also lose his life and Mandla Masimango [had to be] paralysed for people to understand that our battle is between good and evil. Please never make this about races! Some of Duncan’s dearest friends were British, African, Chinese and White.

This is a time that we as a community should stand together as one and combat crime and evil. I know these demons will be caught and brought to justice as the wrath of the Lord is coming.

My heart goes out to Sabelo Kunyane’s family and friends for their loss. We will also continue praying for Mandla Masimango for a full and speedy recovery.

From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank each and everyone that contributed, whether it was prayer, messages, flowers, platters or money, it is deeply appreciated. Thank you for the powerful memorial service and everyone who assisted. There are just too many names to mention, if I missed personally thanking anyone, know that you will be blessed.

Thank you for the tribute on Sunday 3 September as well as the overwhelming tribute on the evening of 7 September.

Duncan is still here with us, not in flesh but in spirit.

He guides us and is the protecting Angel that is watching over us. There are so many testimonies that I can share. We can feel the power of prayer and how the Lord is carrying us through this, we feel safe in His hands.

Yes we are bitter, and will miss him forever, that gap will never be filled, but he will live on in our hearts forever.
