Two seriously injured when car crashes into shop

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.

Two people sustained serious injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a shop on Main Road near Ackermann Street in Newlands on the morning of Sunday, 3 September.

Shortly before 6am, paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found three people who had been involved in the collision. The vehicle was found standing on the side of the road. Two occupants were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be freed by ER24’s Rescue Team. Once freed, they were treated for their injuries and rushed to Helen Joseph Hospital for further treatment. A third occupant was found with moderate injuries.
