Bottle store shooting: update on second reaction officer’s condition
Suspects still on the run.
An Apcan Security manager has confirmed that the second reaction officer that was shot during last night’s armed robbery at Blue Bottle Liquor store on CR Swart Drive, is still alive.

According to the manager, the officer was shot in the spine and doctors are currently assessing whether he will be paralysed. His colleague died after emergency services desperately tried to save his life on scene. According to a reliable source the suspects deliberately went back to the Apcan vehicle to execute the two men. The two men were also said to be off duty.
The owner of the store, Duncan du Plessis, was tragically shot dead during the robbery.
The robbery took place at about 6.10pm.
