Baby tragedy: Seven-year-old sister’s fate decided?
Police captain was on standby to step in.
The seven-year-old sister of the baby boy who allegedly died due to indirect negligence, will be taken to a place of safety.
The 48-year-old grandmother – the father’s mother – said she would return to Tzaneen on Monday to take care of the little girl permanently. In the interview with the Record she confirmed most of the allegations, disputed some and said she was unsure about others due to the fact that she resides in Tzaneen. Read the interview exclusively in print in next week’s Record.

Meanwhile The Deon Rothman Foundation managed to get a police captain at Honeydew Police Station to intervene, should the girl not be taken to a place of safety, said founder Ronel Hayes.
Two complainants will also make affidavits today (24 August) to back up their allegations.
