Pedestrian accident – driver tells his side of story
The driver who hit the pedestrian is still traumatised.
The driver of the vehicle that hit a pedestrian on Albertina Sisulu Road is still traumatised. He wishes to remain anonymous while the investigation into the accident is under way.
It was alleged that his vehicle hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road. ER24 paramedics found on arrival at the scene that the pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries.

However, the driver said he wished to set the record straight and added that while the victim was running across the road, he looked in the opposite direction and apparently did not see his vehicle approaching. He hooted, but it was already too late.
Officials are investigating the incident to establish whether the driver could have prevented the accident.
