Fleeing criminals causes accident at busy intersection
Details are still sketchy.
Major traffic consternation ensued this morning after two fleeing criminals caused an accident at the intersection of Ontdekkers and Christiaan de Wet Roads.
The accident occurred at about 5.30am. The suspects’ vehicle, a Nissan Almera, collided with a bakkie at the intersection. It is believed that the vehicle was either stolen or hijacked. The two suspects fled on foot.

Traffic was still backed up several hours later. The police are currently investigating the incident.
