Three injured in Fleurhof accident
Only moderate injuries sustained in collision
Three passengers sustained injuries in a collision at the intersection of Main Reef and Granville Roads in Fleurhof this morning (1 August).
ER24 paramedics were called out to the scene at approximately 10.15am, and upon arrival found that a taxi had rear-ended a truck. “When paramedics arrived at the scene, the taxi was standing on the left side of the road and the passengers were walking around. Paramedics assessed the patients and three of them – including a young child – sustained minor to moderate injuries,” said Russell Meiring, the ER24 spokesperson.

The patients were treated and transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The remaining passengers were assessed and found to have escaped injury.
Local authorities were on scene and will be conducting further investigations into the cause of this incident.
