These areas are affected most by gate motor thefts
Install a bracket, police advise.
With gate-motor thefts taking on epidemic proportions, Roodepoort Police have identified the most targeted areas.
“Theft of gate motors is still on rise. We receive many complaints about stolen gate motors. We urge the community to keep serial numbers safe and mark their gate motors for the purpose of identification when they are recovered.
Install a good-quality bracket to make it as difficult as possible for thieves to steal the motor,” said Roodepoort Police spokesperson Captain Nonhlanhla Khumalo.

The police identified the following areas as those being targeted most by gate-motor thieves – Horizon View, Horison Park, Helderkruin and Witpoortjie.
