A chance to sponsor the Roodepoort Rugby Club
Hole in One Boutique Hotel and Conference Centre will be hosting a potential sponsors evening for Roodepoort Rugby Club tonight, 29 June. The event aimed at the 2017/ 2018 season will start at 7pm and those who are keen to get involved with the rugby club as a sponsor are encouraged to attend. Although it will be a closed event, you can RSVP Nico Swartz at Nico.swartz@iface.co.za to book as seats are limited.
The rugby club’s coaching staff will attend the event and there will also be a Q and A session with former Golden Lions captain Alwyn Hollenbach who will be one of the guest speakers. He will be sharing details of the club moving to the Ruimsig Stadium and the opportunities available to sponsors of facilities, teams and players.
On the field, the club’s recent results look promising with the U/19, U/21, third, second and first team notching up victories before last weekend. On Thursday night, the Roodepoort Rugby Clubs’ U/19 team took on their Wanderers Rugby Club counterparts and won 31–10. Roodepoort’s U/21 scored 52 points against 12 in their victory against the Wanderers U/21 team.
On Friday night, Roodepoort’s third team beat the Wanderers team 28–0 while the second team beat their Wanderers counterparts 38–12. The first team completed Roodepoort’s winning ways with a 34–12 win against Wanderers.
