Little Leaguers melt hearts in Florida

Young players show their joy and passion

Florida Albion Football Club hosted the Wits Academy Football Club this weekend. Their U/6 and U/7 players duelled for victory with such gusto that the hearts of the spectators melted.

The teams compete in the RCLFA (Rand Central Local Football Association) Little League.

Florida’s Geovanno Tromp runs away with the ball after snatching it from Wits’ players.

The youngsters play in a format consisting of four 15-minute periods, instead of the normal two halves. Each team only has five players on the field.

Coaches are allowed to direct and support their players without interfering with play as part of the process of developing the young players and equipping them with the knowledge to progress into the senior age groups.
