Moms against Drugs (Mad), in conjunction with Drug-Free World (DFW), will be hosting a drug education workshop on 10 June.
Founder of Mad, Erika Sparks, wrote the following in her press release: “Do you have a loved one or child who is addicted to drugs? Come find out more so that you can help your loved one. Maybe you are a teacher at a school and are experiencing these problems daily, come find out how to identify the different kinds of drugs and the signs and symptoms”.
The theme of the workshop is “Educate your self about drugs before you get stuck”. It’s aimed at parents and young people. Topics that will be discussed include “What drugs really do to the body”, “What kind of side-effects different types of drugs have” and “How does the Drug-Free World campaign work and who can get involved to create their own campaign in their community?”.
Time: 10am to noon.
Venue: NG Kerk, Kloofendal
Address: 19 Opal Ave, Roodepoort.
