National Roast Leg of Lamb Day
Enjoy some delicious lamb on #NationalRoastLegofLambDay
7 May is National Roast Leg of Lamb Day. It is celebrated annually with a plate filled with delicious roast lamb.
The leg of lamb is a mild and tender cut of meat that, when roasted, is a unique and tasty dish to many.
Typically, its preparation involves covering the leg of lamb with butter, rosemary sprigs that are pushed ito small incisions cut into the leg, and rosemary leaves sprinkled on top. The lamb is then roasted for two hours at 180 degrees Celsius. It is usually served with carrots, roast potatoes, green vegetables and gravy.
To celebrate today, find a recipe, either online or use Grandma’s tried and tested one, and make a roast leg of lamb. Invite your friends and family, and, while spending some quality time together, enjoy a delicious meal.
