Maragon are winners on court and the field

Rugby season kicking off

Maragon Private Schools’ rugby and netball teams have much to celebrate about. Competing in the Trinity House High School’s Sevens rugby tour, Maragons’ U/16 team faced off against Curro Helderwyk and won with a score of 37–7. The team also beat Kings School by 26–7.

Maragons’ senior first team proved they will be a force to be reckoned with this season judging by the points margins with which they beat their opponents. The team took on its La Salle College counterparts and beat them by 53–0, not allowing their rivals to register a single point on the board. The team repeated this feat and also broke the 50-point barrier when it defeated Randfontein High School by 50–0.

Maragons’ netball teams faced off against Fochville recently. Maragons’ first team won with a score of 21–15, while their U/17 team won by 12–4. The U/14 teams also did not disappoint as the A and B teams won by 29–13 and 14–4 respectively.
