From Tuesday 21 March until Monday 28 March Roodepoort Police conducted several stop-and-search operations.
Thirty-seven suspects aged between 19 and 55 were arrested on charges of assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm, theft, shoplifting, attempted theft of cables, business burglary, armed robbery, possession of suspected stolen property, fraud, house robbery, attempted murder, housebreaking and theft, and crossing the railway line.
The suspects were charged and detained at Roodepoort Police Station and will appear in Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
