Pedestrians targeted in new crime trend

Pedestrians to be extra cautious.

Beagle Watch has an urgent warning for pedestrians.

According to the security company, several people have been robbed or mugged in the streets recently, suggesting that this type of crime has become a regular trend in the area.

“Pedestrians need to be alert and should not walk where it may be unsafe. Our reports have shown an increase in this type of incident recently,’’ said Beagle Watch MD, Dave Casey. “If possible do not walk alone, be vigilant at all times, don’t carry valuables and if it is necessary to carry cash, take only what is necessary for your needs.

Know your route, and if you think you are been followed, go to the nearest safe place and ask for assistance. In the unfortunate situation of being confronted don’t try to fight, rather stay calm and give them what they want. Resistance could lead to injury.”
