City Power warns of planned outage in Florida and surrounding areas
Planned outage necessary to complete essential maintenance work
Electricity in Florida, Maraisburg and Industria North will be interrupted on 28 February from 10pm, according to City Power.
Residents in the affected areas can expect power to be restored by 6am on 1 March. The power interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance on City Power’s network.
“This forms part of our programme to constantly strive to provide better service,” the entity said.
To prevent any electricity-related injuries, City Power urges residents to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times. “This is because the power supply might be restored at any time,” the entity said.
City Power regrets any inconvenience these interruptions may cause residents. For more information or clarity regarding the planned interruption, contact the call centre on 0860 562 874.
