The drama started at about 11.45am when the two suspects broke into a house in a complex on Vlakvoëltjie Street in Princess. A member of the public surprised them and during their escape he shot at their vehicle. It’s believed he hit the tyres of the vehicle. The suspects fled down South Road but eventually had to abandon the white VW Jetta in front of Dash Sand on Albertina Sisulu Road. An eyewitness said two “large” TVs were found in the vehicle. It is also alleged that the vehicle is not stolen, which means the police can trace the owner.
