New operating hours at customer service centres introduced
Residents will be able to address municipal issues on a Saturday from 1 February
Residents who cannot always visit the customer service centres to address their municipal issues will be glad to hear the operating hours have been revised.
From 1 February, the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) will be introducing new operating hours at all of its customer service centres citywide.
According to the city’s spokesperson, Kgamanyane Maphologela, this is part of the ten-point plan implemented by Executive Mayor, councillor Herman Mashaba. “The ten-point plan was implemented to ensure we are part of being a responsive government,” Maphologela said.
For this reason, the city will progressively extend operating hours, as it is believed that by doing this, efficiency and customer service will be improved.
Maphologela said, “We have listened to our customers and the extension of the operating hours is aligned to their need.”
The new operating hours for Braamfontein and Roodepoort customer service centres will be as follow:
– Thuso House in Braamfontein will be open from 7.30am to 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On Wednesdays, the operating hours will be from 9am to 6pm and Saturdays from 7.30am to 12.30pm.
– The Roodepoort Civic Centre will be open from 7.30am to 3.30pm every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Tuesday, the operating hours will be from 9am to 3.30pm and every Saturday the centre will be open from 7.30am to 12.30pm.
